Birds of a feather,....become my burger...

Tuesday and I've got bird patties on the brain.
Hamburger crave.
This is my go-to.  As much as people turn up their nose at the thought of a turkey burger instead of artery-clogging 80/20 ground beef, if you use the right spices to add flavor, it tastes great and your body doesn't hate you afterwards.
Who would have thought?...
...and yes, I will put avocado on anything...

1 pound 96-99% lean ground Turkey
1/2 tsp mesquite grill seasoning or any hamburger-like spice(s)
1/8 tsp sea salt
1 egg
lettuce
1/3 avocado
1/2 ounce cheese (I used colby jack...and go for the block versus pre-shredded, it has less ingredients/less processed = healthier)
other optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms

1. Combine turkey, seasoning, and salt in small bowl.  Make patties in roughly 3 or 4 ounce portions.
2. Place on grill or pan.  Once you flip, go ahead and add cheese slice and start another pan to cook the egg.
3. Use lettuce as your "bun"... a few pieces of green leaf or iceburg tend to hold a little better than other types.  Enjoy.
