"I started working out at ActivEdge with Meredith about 3 years ago. When
I started, I didn’t know what to expect and was a little nervous going
in the first day. The moment I walked in the door I felt like I could be
myself. After my intro workout on day 1 I knew that ActivEdge and
Meredith were a right fit for me. After that, I began to go on a regular
basis because I liked the style of the workout and the fact that
Meredith was very personable. The workouts that we did were never easy
and I always walked out knowing that I got a good workout and was pushed
to go as hard as I could everyday. I enjoyed going to workout on a
regular basis in large part to Meredith keeping me entertained with
random conversations and also because I knew that I was going to become a
better athlete that day. The workout style that Meredith uses focuses
on helping athletes get to their full potential by helping them become
stronger and faster. She customizes every workout for each specific
person or athlete to suit their needs/wants. She cares about each
individual client that she works with and would do anything to help
them, whether it applied to a workout or just in life. All in all,
Meredith will do whatever she can to help anyone get in the shape they
want to be in, but she will also do whatever she can to make sure that
everyone she works with feels comfortable and has a personal
relationship with her. She is one of the main reasons that I had the
opportunity to play Division 1 baseball at UNC-Greensboro and I am
extremely thankful for all that she has done to help me along the way. I
would recommend Meredith for anyone who is looking to become a better
athlete or just get in better shape. I can see the difference that she
made in me and I am confident that she could make a difference in anyone
that she works with."

"Top Three reasons why Meredith should be your trainer:
Meredith is incredibly knowledgeable and knows what each individual needs in order to order to produce the best results. Workouts were well-organized, extremely efficient, creative, and appropriately challenging.
In just 4 weeks, friends started noticing a difference in my body. By week 6, friends were begging me for Meredith’s number.
3) Have a Blast: Though Meredith is incredibly professional, she was more than just a personal trainer to me. She became a true friend. Workout time with Meredith is a ton of fun. There’s never a dull moment in these sessions.

"Meredith has been working with me for over a year and I am truly thankful for her. I have had multiple surgeries, including both hips replaced. When I first started working with Meredith, I had pain in multiple areas and was unable to perform some of the simplest exercises. She took me where I was and has been patient in helping to become much stronger with vastly improved balance. I am now able to play golf pain free, but more importantly, my quality of life has improved significantly! Meredith is the best and I highly recommend her to anyone, regardless of their level of fitness".

"I have worked with Meredith for quite some time now. She holds a wealth of knowledge in regards to fitness and healthy eating. Whether you are trying to lose weight or stay in game shape, she has the ability to keep your workouts interesting and exciting; I am never bored with my workouts. But more that anything else, Meredith has the amazing ability to empower her clients to believe in themselves. She inspires me, and with her help I am a more complete individual."

"Five years and not counting…
For my fabulous 40th, a dear friend gave me a gift certificate
to train with Meredith and it changed my life. I am healthier, I am
stronger and I am happier. My investment of showing up and working hard
has paid off. I am constantly challenged by
the new workouts, supported by the fitness advice, and most
importantly, now feel empowered to take charge of my fitness. I’ve
moved on from counting pounds to planning meals and workouts – it’s
definitely a better way. I am still getting older and have the typical hurdles, precisely why I am choosing Meredith as a trainer." * * * *
"Something had to change with my lifestyle. I was unfit and my body type wasn’t what it
once was nor was it what I wanted. I
could see the physical changes in the mirror and I didn’t like what was being
reflected back at me. Though I despised
my appearance, I still did nothing; there was no motivation. My son, who is four, would ask me to play
games and run around in the yard with him and my response was, “No sweetie,
mommy is tired.” I could see his
disappointment. Then something just
finally clicked. I was tired of this
feeling. My energy was gone; my self-esteem
was nowhere to be found. I said to my
husband I want to change. I want to find
a personal trainer just for me. Someone
to help motivate me, someone to guide me, show me the way. I knew I had to make the change for myself,
for my husband and my child.
Two months later I met Meredith. I was very excited and anxious. I did not know what to expect. Would I look like a fool? Could I even make
it through a workout? Actually, I didn’t
make it through the first workout or even the second. I felt terrible, wondering if anyone had a
failed as badly as I did and wondered if this was even meant to be. Meredith ripped that nonsense out of me
immediately. She said to not go there in
my way of thinking and not compare myself to others because it was my journey and mine only.
That was very encouraging and instantly I felt better and
comfortable with Meredith.
During my seven month journey with Meredith, she has shown
me the proper lifestyle I should take with regard to eating and
exercising. I’ve made several triumphs
in both food and exercise. Not only has
Meredith helped me on focusing on a healthier lifestyle, she has provided me
with encouragement concerning life in general.
She has been a sounding board and has helped me see things differently
which gives me the confidence to think outside the box. I still have my moments of weakness and that’s
okay. As Meredith has said to me on
several occasions focus on the small goals because that is what will get you to
your ultimate goal. My miniature goal on
several occasions has been to not beat myself up if I didn’t do a good job on
choosing healthy foods for that day.
It’s okay. Tomorrow is a new day
and it can be done.
I still have my worries.
I’m only human. I wonder what
makes this time any different than all the other times I lost weight, gained it
back and lost it again. What will be different?
The difference this time is “me”; being more educated and more
confident. I know that I have my family to support me as well as my trainer,
Meredith. I am also proud to call her my
friend."
